Santtu Määttänen: 15:00~2h
Modern day modesty
Event is for: 5

Andrea Castellani: 17:00~4h
A Story of Land and Water
Event is for: 7 ( 4male + 3female)
Köydenpunojankatu 8 E
The Po Valley at the end of the Middle Neolithic: an almost completely wooded land, with a few glades and, near rivers and lakes, many wetlands, swamps and islands where human populations concentrate. It is very important to get rid of stereotypes about prehistory: the characters in this interactive drama are men and women like us, with their culture, their language, their beliefs and their traditions.
"A Story of Land and Water" is a larp, heavily contaminated by improvisational theatre. Or a piece of improvisation, heavily contaminated by roleplaying. But, most important, it is a story about feelings and relationships.

Matthijs Holter: 20:00~15min
Five persons in search for identity
Event is for: 5
Köydenpunojankatu 8 E
Five characters in search of an identity ("Fem roller søker en identitet") is a larp by Norwegian Matthijs Holter that shall be played out in 15 minutes, not one second more or less. The players play characters that know they're characters in a role-playing game. They haven't been assigned an identity yet. They can talk to each other, but not to the players or GM. They're free to speculate in what sort of characters they are, what sort of game it is etc.

Tuesday

Andrea Castellani: 12:00~6h
The Scarlet Railway
Event is for: 5 (3male + 2female)
Köydenpunojankatu 8 E
The setting of "The Scarlet Railway" is a train ride between two Italian cities, that takes place in one of those old six-people train compartments on 29 February 1992. The characters are fugitives with humanitarian status, coming from former Yugoslavia.
The larp's focus is on giving you a deep experience. Expect 3 hours of pre-game, then 2 hours of game proper, and finally 1 hour of post-game evaluation.

Juha Kortesluoma: 13:30~1h
Interactive poetry jam
Event is for: unlimited amount of people
Place of event: TBA
Pure subconsiousness presented in a verbal flow with out any communicational or aesthetic goals.

Matthijs Holter: 18:00~15min
Fame
Event is for: unlimited amount of people
Köydenpunojankatu 8 E
"Fame" is an absurdist role-playing poem, played out in fifteen minutes. In it, one player takes the role of the Star, while the others play the Audience. The Star creates and performs series of meaningless performances, which the Audience replies to with nonsensical language. "Fame" is an interesting look at non-verbal communication and crowd dynamics.

Wednesday

[EDIT during 31.3.2008}
Martine Svanevik & Marthe Glad: 12:00~3h
War Council
Event is for: 13
Haapaniemenkatu 6, 00530 Helsinki
Participants are expected to arrive little early to meet us in the yard.
The winds of change are coming. Life will never be the same again. The war has been long and bloody and most of Europe, Asia and the US are controlled by the enemy. The last few leaders of our army are meeting in a hidden place to try to turn the tides of war to their advantage. Plans must be laid; hope must be rekindled not only in the soldiers but in the generals. This is viewed as our last chance. If we cannot come up with a plan of attack, there will be no victory for our side.
The last stand is coming.
NOTE: Wear black clothes

Muovikuppi (Plastic Cup) is a short larp about breaking things. Set in the familiar world of your life, it features the violent rupturing of family and friendship. It's a catharctic game where silence and frustration explode in ceramic splinters. It's a game where you are the agent of destruction.

three hours, so proper clothes are essential. A warm coat, something
to wear on your head, mittens. How much you have to prepare depends on

bonus for any participant. Combat boots, hiking boots and the like are
good, tennis shoes and high heels are bad.

We've made progress

Hi all Larpers world wide, we have some news for you. Ropecon weekend was inspiring, so it's time to update you all about what's going on FreeFall Festival. We are now officially in collaboration with Solmukohta. So we're going to give you all memorable Festival in conjuction with social events of AWIF.

We're starting to have first drafts of the event and this far the Festival is looking to become one of the most interesting things happening in larp scene next spring. We hope that we can submit first versions of program before end of this month. I promise that we have known names as well as some not as familiar, and I hope that we're having at least one surprising name on the list.

If you still have an LARP you'd like to see at FreeFall Festival, please be in touch as soon as possible. You can find guidelines from our previous blog posts.

Guidelines

Hi all readers!

As many of you have asked guidelines for submissions. Here are few, they are by no means meant for strict restrictions, but as name implies, guides.
Firstly, games must fit in quite short time (max time one day). Secondly, they must be organizable in urban environment (either public or private, but urban). Thirdly, we would like to see your game focus on urban environment/being(s).

We're here to help you out! If you'd really like to participate please contact us. We will aid you in organizing, writing, marketing and what ever, be in contact and I believe we can work it out. Don't be scared by the A word (art), if we allow you to participate, you've made some art (at least we think so).

The email for all you're troubles is: freefall.festival <at> gmail.com

Project is going forwards, backwards and sideways!

We have made some schedule planning and we've got the first few game submissions. And yes, we're hungrily waiting for more! Currently we're starting to make drafts of timings, also we're making marketing decisions. We would like to hear from you larpwrights more, tell us your wishes, hopes and dreams. Also questions, lies and threats are welcome.

We would like to have your larp pieces for review within three months, we're making decisions on games at the end of august.

If you have ideas about locations/location please share those with us. Currently we're pondering two ideas, first one involves open city scene and larps in public, second one involves rented  spaces / space. Most likely we're mixing those two, but share your thoughts with us.

And now back to work...
